Ajit Foundation conducted a life skills program aimed at empowering adolescent girls by raising awareness about women’s status in society and related issues. This program focused on sensitizing girls to life skill development to boost their self-esteem and confidence levels.
Over the course of three years, the program reached out to 2100 adolescent girls across 30 schools and colleges in the Maval block. It addressed physical and emotional changes associated with adolescence and emphasized the importance of reinforcing life skills to dispel myths and misconceptions about this phase of life.
By providing essential life skills training, Ajit Foundation aims to equip adolescent girls with the tools they need to navigate challenges and make informed decisions. Join us in our mission to empower young girls and foster a generation of confident, self-assured women ready to tackle the opportunities and challenges of adulthood.
The Women’s Tailoring Centre aims to empower women from Korfale and nearby villages by providing them with valuable tailoring skills, making them self-reliant and economically independent. This initiative specifically targets women who belong to marginal farming families, work as farm laborers, are widowed, come from households affected by alcoholism, or are burdened by debt.
The tailoring course offered by the center not only teaches women how to sew but also equips them with entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to start their own businesses. By providing livelihood opportunities to women from impoverished families, the Women’s Tailoring Centre has enabled them to generate additional income and improve their financial stability.
Scheduled to commence in March 2024, the Women’s Tailoring Centre has already trained approximately 60 women, empowering them to pursue sustainable livelihoods and contribute positively to their communities.
